Mike Carney, CEO of OnDeck Partners

At OnDeck Partners, everything begins with a simple belief: baseball is more than just a game - it’s the heartbeat of a community. It’s families gathering on summer nights, kids chasing foul balls, and neighbors coming together to celebrate tradition, teamwork, and hometown pride. Above all, we believe in having fun and building lasting memories together, both on and off the field.

When we founded OnDeck, our vision wasn’t to reinvent the fan experience, but to enhance the vibrant traditions that already make Minor League Baseball so special. We see ourselves not as owners, but as stewards of something bigger – an experience that belongs to the fans, the players, and the communities who fill the ballparks night after night.

For me, this is personal. I’ve spent my career in sports and business, but my passion has always been in growing the game of baseball and making it more accessible, more exciting, and more meaningful for future generations. Success, to me, isn’t measured only in wins and losses or financial results - it’s measured in the legacy we leave. That means developing future leaders, creating experiences that bring people together, and fostering lasting connections that strengthen the communities we call home.

We know fans have choices in who leads their hometown teams, and we want to make one thing clear: OnDeck is committed to raising the bar. We aren’t here with a one-size-fits-all approach. We’re here to listen, to learn, and to invest in the spirit that makes each ballpark unique. Our promise is to celebrate what already makes Minor League Baseball great while bringing fresh ideas, new energy, and meaningful partnerships that deepen the fan experience and positively impact the community. Most importantly, our communities will always have a direct line to us - for feedback, ideas, and honest conversations - because we believe the best teams are built together. My inbox is always open. Please feel free to share your thoughts, feedback and ideas at mike@ondeckpartners.com.

Baseball has always been about more than the final score – it’s about connection. And at OnDeck, we’re dedicated to building those connections stronger than ever, ensuring that every game day feels like a community celebration, today and for generations to come.

See you at the park,

Mike
